I think my brain is fried right now, and I am too embarrassed right now to post the code of all the functions I've attempted. But when the new Microsoft Edge window pops up to the page I'm not logged in so it says their game list is private.Īs I keep trying with more and more Sub's attempting to execute the same thing.
Logging into Steam manually in Microsoft Edge (keeping that window open) then using a macro to get to a friend's game list. Using Selenium with Microsoft Edge to login but once it executes clicking the login button the browser closes. Using XML but can't get the setRequestHeader to work with login information. I think this is just an Internet Explorer compatibility issue with Steam's website. Even still, if I manually login and then go to a friend's list of games it's completely empty. Using Internet Explorer, but on the login page, I can't seem to click the login button. Then I can tabulate & filter what multiplayer games EVERYONE has at the same time, side-by-side. What my goal here is to log into Steam's website and populate Excel with my library, and all my friends' libraries to form a table. While I know that killing my network connection before launching Steam is an option, I am looking for a more 'civilized' way, such as a command line switch or something of the sort. #STEAM LOGIN OFFLINE#
I've tried so many things and now it's just becoming a mess. I was wondering if there is some way to launch Steam in offline mode without first logging in (and selecting it from the menu), since that usually beats the purpose.
